A Trip to Bangkok
43 students from classes VIII, IX and XI accompanied by three teachers Mrs. Surekha Garde, Mrs. Rupa Choudhury and Mrs. Shyamala Gurumoorthy visited Bangkok, one of the world's top tourist destination cities from October 01, 2013 to October 05, 2013.

A Bangkok Airways flight took off with the group led by Mr. Adil from Penguin Holidays. In Bangkok we stayed in Hotel Regency Park, located in the heart of Sukhumvit Road surrounded by supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff provided us with delicious breakfast every day.

Our first visit was to the Madame Tussauds Museum where we explored the lives of the many notable people who shaped and influenced Asia and tested our knowledge of history. Clicking photos with these personalities excited all of us. The city tour gave us an opportunity to visit the Golden Buddha Temple and the Reclining Buddha Temple with a glimpse of the palace of the King.

The Safari World consisted of two parks named Marine Park and Safari Park. The park was opened in 1988 with its open zoo and its bird park. The ultimate safari experience featured hundreds of animals from all over the world, including tigers and lions.

The Marine Park housed a vast spectrum of animals on land, sea and air. Some of the attractions we witnessed were Jungle ride, Hollywood cowboy stunts, orangutan boxing and sea lions show. We were shocked to see lion and tiger cubs in cramped cages kept for taking photos with.

A boat ride through the floating market was enjoyed by all of us as it ended with a shopping spree. With everything from antiquities to designer jewellery, we had an equally exhaustive, variety of things to buy.

Almost eight hours tiring journey to Tiger Temple turned out to be the most exhilarating experience of our life. Walking with the tigers, watching them wander and play around, posing with them for photographs gave us goosebumps.

Last attraction in Bangkok was the Dream World, a big American-style theme park with Corkscrew, Bumping Cars, Swinging Viking Boats, Roller coasters and cable cars - they were all there, and more besides. We admired our favorite cartoon characters in the spectacular the 'Colors of the World Parade'.

Lasting memories of our trip kept us all reliving the experience even as we returned to Mumbai.
