Literacy in itself is no education. Literacy is not the end of education or even the beginning. By education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in the child -body, mind and spirit. - Mahatma Gandhi

Our school follows this principle of Mahatma Gandhi and lives to its fullest.

10 years ago, my parents admitted me in this school, expecting me to come out with a bundle of certificates, learn good manners, make life-long friends and be a good citizen. Because of the wonderful teachers and the excellent opportunities provided at HFS Thane, I am able to achieve many of my goals today. Our school tries to bring out the talent of every child-dancing, acting, orating and many more through various inter house competitions like Dance, Dramatics, Impromptu Speech, Elocution and many more. I never knew that I was a good actor until I was dragged out of a crowd of many students in the fourth standard. Since then, I have developed so strong a passion for acting, that I can hardly resist dramatics.

Our school firmly believes in the motto ‘Mens Sana in Corpore Sano’, meaning a ‘Sound Mind in a Sound Body’. Apart from academics, sports is also given a lot of importance. Athletic Meet in our school is as important a function as a marriage is in one’s life. The national and international trips help us learn to survive in the world apart from offering a glimpse of the beautiful places.

Our school is a place where moral values and soft skills are taught with much more emphasis than studies. Without values like punctuality, discipline and proper conduct, academic learning has no value.

Today, as I stand at the cusp of graduating from tenth grade can proudly say that these 12 years in school could not have been any better. I hope that the school and its family continues to grow and prosper as it has for the past ten years.
